Barryland
closed

Following the latest measures announced by the Canton of Valais, the Barryland (museum, restaurant «Café de Barry» and Barry shop) is closed until further notice.
Reopening scheduled for 14 December 2020.

Public holidays: The Barryland in Martigny is open 363 days a year, closed only on 24 and 25 December (all day).

By car
Turn off the motorway at the Martigny-Expo exit. Free parking is available right in front of the museum. Follow the brown signposts for Barryland.

By public transport
Take advantage of the “Barryland” RailAway special offer for reduced-price travel to Martigny railway station or town (“Martigny Bourg” station).

From the railway station, catch a bus to Barryland (get off at the Pierre Gianadda Foundation stop).

Café de Barry

Open daily from 9:00 until 18:00 with daily specials during the week.

Begin your visit at Barryland in the «Café de Barry» Restaurant. At lunchtime, treat yourself to a delicious daily special, a grilled dish or a snack, and replenish your energy later on with a mid-afternoon snack. In our dining room or on our shady terrace opposite the amphitheatre, indulge in our culinary delights with beautifully presented, freshly prepared regional products

Note: The Restaurant is wheelchair accessible, as is Barryland as a whole. Hot meal from 11 am to 5 pm, non stop.

Opening times
The Restaurant is open daily from 9:00 until 18:00.

Fine food at fair prices
During the week, we offer a daily special for CHF 20.-, a two-course meal including a starter or dessert for CHF 24.-, and a three-course meal for CHF 27.50.-. Families and groups wishing to eat at «Café de Barry» are advised to book a table in advance:

Barry Shop

Our gift shop at the main entrance sells a wide range of souvenirs to remind you of your visit and time spent with our St. Bernards. You will find exclusive high-quality products and unusual gift ideas including calendars, photo mugs, St. Bernard soft toys and books. We also sell specialities of the Valais region and attractive accessories for your own pooch.

The Barry shop is open during museum opening times. The proceeds from our shop go directly to supporting the Barry Foundation in its work to preserve the breed and care for the dogs.

All museum exhibition areas and the shop and restaurant are wheelchair accessible. However, some of the exhibition areas are only accessible to wheelchair users by lift: our staff will be happy to assist you.

Toilets for persons with reduced mobility are located in the exhibition area in the basement.

Blind and visually impaired visitors may access the museum with their guide dog. Dog crates are provided for all other dogs.
