Barryland is getting a facelift to offer you a unique experience
From the summer of 2025, the famous Great Saint Bernard dogs will be back at the totally revamped Theme Park.
Due to the renovation work to the existing building, the museum and the Café de Barry are temporarily closed.
We can’t wait to welcome you to our new Theme Park, which will offer you an unforgettable experience and brand new activities for young and old.
Barryland Theme Park Project
Visitors to the new 22,000 m² Theme Park will be able to discover and learn all about Switzerland’s national dog, from the myths and legends of 300 years of history to its particular characteristics. A living museum and an interactive, educational and fun place of discovery close to nature are being created. At the very heart of the project are the needs of the St. Bernards and the appropriate breeding conditions for the breed. The dogs will feel comfortable and will have enough space to move about freely, receive care and training, as well as withdraw and rest quietly.
The building is shaped like a paw print. The St. Bernard dog is to be discovered in five thematic worlds representing its main personality traits: Barry Rescuer, Barry Friend, Barry Star, Barry Bon Vivant, Barry Playmate. These themes will guide visitors through their visit and offer them a brand new, unforgettable experience.

Barryland Theme Park will open during the summer of 2025. The exact date will be announced as soon as possible, depending on the progress of the work.
Is there any way of seeing the dogs somewhere ?
There is nowhere open to the public for visiting the dogs. However, we do offer booked walks which will allow you to spend precious time with our St. Bernards.
Will there be any events or activities offered during the closure ?
Yes, walks will continue to be organised in Martigny or Champex-Lac over the winter.

Will there be new attractions or experiences at the Theme Park ?
Yes, the new park will offer a fun and interactive experience. A visit will include varied, immersive and interactive content with the latest technology in particular.
